Hi folks,
Well, mixing has been a fantastic experience - it's been great working with Tim Hamill again and he's really helped us to shape the album and bring out the best in all of us. We can't wait for you all to hear it. I think we've really managed to capture the live energy of the band and mixed that with just the right amount of production gloss to make a really strong and vibrantly eclectic album that we're loving to bits. We've explored new galaxies and boldy gone... well, you get the idea - it really rocks and we're so proud of it!
We're finishing up making final adjustments tomorrow and Thursday and then mastering the album on Friday with Jon Astley at his Close To The Edge studio on the banks of the Thames next to Eel Pie Island. We've also been working with a wonderful graphic designer on the artwork for 'Satellite' and she's really come up with some amazing images for the CD booklet - we're really excited to see how everything's coming together.
Once the mastering is completed and the artwork finished the album will be off to the pressing plant for duplication and should be back at the beginning of November and ready for mailing out to all of you who've pre-ordered from the website - thanks to all of you for your faith in us.
Looking forward to seeing those of you who can make it to Aylesbury for the Limelight gig (23rd October) - it's going to be a goodie with the marvellous Jump supporting. It's looking like Bedford Esquires will be the actual unofficial album launch date and, if there are no unforeseen manufacturing delays, will be the 1st gig where you can buy copies of 'Satellite', or get your pre-ordered copy signed, if you weren't among the lucky 1st 50 pre-orders who will receive signed copies in the post. So come along and celebrate our last gig of the year on Friday the 13th (scary music!!!) November.
Cheers
Jon
